The rules for using AskBibleQuestions, our AI study tools, subscriptions, and church embeds.
Terms of Service
Last Updated: October 9, 2026
1. Who we are
AskBibleQuestions.com (“ABQ,” “we,” “us”) is operated by CONNECTMY.CHURCH LLC, a Tennessee limited liability company (“the Company”). These Terms govern your use of the website, the Bible reader, the question-and-answer library, any AI study tools, any subscription, and any ABQ tools embedded on a third-party website (together, “the Services”). By using the Services you agree to these Terms.
We may assign these Terms, and any subscription or license under them, to a successor or affiliated entity, including a nonprofit organization, without your further consent. We will give notice of any such assignment.
2. What the Services are — and are not
The Services provide Bible text, Scripture-grounded answers, and study tools for general learning and encouragement. They are not a substitute for personal discipleship, pastoral care, or the counsel of your local church, and nothing in the Services is medical, legal, financial, mental-health, or other professional advice. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services or a trusted person immediately.
Answers reflect the editorial and theological positions of ABQ. Churches and other sites that embed ABQ tools do not alter that content, and ABQ content does not necessarily represent the views of any church on whose website it appears.
3. AI study tools
Some features generate responses using artificial intelligence (“AI Tools”). AI Tools are designed to answer only from Scripture and ABQ-approved sources and to cite those sources, and responses pass through a review step that may revise or decline an answer. Even so, AI output can be incomplete, mistaken, or miss context. You agree to weigh every AI response against the Bible itself and the counsel of your church, and not to rely on AI output as a sole basis for any decision.
You may not use AI Tools to generate content that is unlawful, harassing, or intended to misrepresent ABQ; to attempt to extract training data, system instructions, or source material beyond what the tool displays; to probe, overload, or circumvent usage limits or safety measures; or to build a competing product from ABQ outputs. We may suspend access for misuse.
Questions you submit to AI Tools are treated as sensitive, pastoral data. How we handle them is described in the Privacy Policy.
4. Accounts
Some features require an account. You are responsible for keeping your login confidential and for activity under your account. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account; younger users may use the Services only under the supervision of a parent, guardian, or church leader.
5. Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation
The Bible reader and the written question-and-answer library are free. Certain AI Tools and church features require a paid subscription. Prices, plan contents, and usage allowances are shown at the time of purchase and may change with notice; changes apply at your next renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You may cancel at any time and access continues to the end of the paid period. All payments are non-refundable. Payments are processed by a third-party provider; we do not store full card numbers.
AI Tools are subject to fair-use allowances. When an allowance is reached we will tell you in the product and offer options; we will not silently degrade the service.
6. Church and organizational licenses
A church or organization (“Licensee”) may subscribe to embed ABQ tools on its own website under a Church License. The license is non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited to the domains registered in the Licensee’s administration portal, and ends when the subscription ends. Licensee may customize colors, typography, logo, and placement of the embedded tools. Licensee may not modify, add to, or substitute the Scripture text, answers, or AI behavior; remove ABQ attribution where it is displayed; or represent ABQ content as its own original work.
Licensee is responsible for the content and operation of its own website, for obtaining any consents its visitors require, and for the conduct of its administrators and team members. If a Church License lapses, the embedded Bible reader continues to function for a grace period while paid tools are disabled; we will notify the Licensee’s administrator.
ABQ may issue no-cost grant licenses at its discretion, including for mission use. Grant licenses are governed by these Terms except where a written grant states otherwise.
7. Content and intellectual property
Scripture is presented from the Berean Standard Bible, which is in the public domain. ABQ’s answers, editorial text, passage relationships, design, software, and compilations are owned by the Company or its licensors and protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws. AskBibleQuestions and the ABQ mark are trademarks of the Company. You may read, link to, quote briefly with attribution, and share links to ABQ content for personal, non-commercial, or church use. You may not copy the library or substantial parts of it, scrape the Services, republish answers as a collection, or use ABQ content to train machine-learning models without written permission.
The Hebrew and Greek word information shown in the Bible reader is drawn from the Berean Bible’s interlinear and Strong’s data. Topic listings labeled as from Nave’s Topical Bible (Orville J. Nave, 1896) are in the public domain; the digital compilation we use is © 2021–2026 Brady Stephenson (bible-data) and is used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. We changed it: the data was reformatted for this site, and a small number of references that could not be read were left out.
Other Bible texts. The World English Bible is in the public domain and is shown as published by eBible.org, without changes to its wording. “World English Bible” is a trademark of eBible.org. The Hebrew text is the Westminster Leningrad Codex (public domain) with word-level data from the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible Project, used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license: original work of the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible available at https://github.com/openscriptures/morphhb. We changed it: the text is arranged under English chapter and verse numbers, and its grammar codes are shown as plain-English labels of our own. The Greek text is Nestle 1904 (public domain), base text prepared by Diego Renato dos Santos, with word-level data by Ulrik Sandborg-Petersen released under CC0.
Dictionaries. Greek definitions come from the Dodson Greek Lexicon (2010, public domain), G. Abbott-Smith, A Manual Greek Lexicon of the New Testament (1922, public domain), and Strong’s Greek Dictionary (1890) in the edition by Ulrik Sandborg-Petersen (CC0). Hebrew definitions come from Brown, Driver and Briggs, A Hebrew and English Lexicon of the Old Testament (1906, public domain), in the digital edition Brown-Driver-Briggs Enhanced by unfoldingWord, whose additions are used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license, and from Strong’s Hebrew Dictionary as published by the Open Scriptures Hebrew Bible Project, also under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. We changed these: entries were reformatted, Scripture references were linked to this site, and some entries are shown only in part. These are historical reference works; an entry gives its authors’ view.
Meanings by semantic domain. The section of that name on word-study pages is drawn from the UBS Dictionary of Biblical Hebrew © United Bible Societies, 2023 (adapted from Semantic Dictionary of Biblical Hebrew © 2000–2023 United Bible Societies) and the UBS Dictionary of New Testament Greek, © United Bible Societies, 2023 (adapted from Semantic Dictionary of Biblical Greek: © United Bible Societies 2018–2023, which is adapted from Greek-English Lexicon of the New Testament: Based on Semantic Domains, Eds. J P Louw, Eugene Albert Nida © United Bible Societies 1988, 1989), as published by the United Bible Societies under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International license. We changed it: only the English meanings are shown, without the dictionaries’ comments and notes; cross-reference marks inside definitions are reduced to plain words; Scripture references are given in English verse numbers and linked to this site’s Bible; and related words are linked to this site’s word pages. That section, as shown on this site, is offered under the same license, and the limits on copying in this section do not apply to it.
The Greek Old Testament. The Septuagint equivalents shown on word-study pages are from the MACULA Hebrew Linguistic Datasets, available at https://github.com/Clear-Bible/macula-hebrew/ (© 2022–2024 Biblica, Inc), used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. We changed them: they are counted and grouped by word.
Word links in the World English Bible. The links between World English Bible words and the Hebrew and Greek words behind them were produced by this site using an automated method. They are a study aid and may contain errors.
Cross-references. The cross-references shown in the Bible reader are from OpenBible.info and are used under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license. We changed them: only the best-supported references for each verse are shown.
Audio Bible. The audio recordings of the Berean Standard Bible are narrated by Bob Souer, Barry Hays, and Jordan Gilbert. Their publisher has dedicated them to the public domain (CC0 1.0). We play them unchanged.
Some material is provided under license from partners such as RENEW.org and is identified as such. Partner material remains the property of its owner and is used with permission.
8. Your submissions
When you submit a question, feedback, or other content, you grant ABQ a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, edit, and publish it, including as the basis for a published answer, without identifying you unless you ask us to. Do not submit anything you do not have the right to share or that contains another person’s private information.
9. Offline and embedded distribution
ABQ content may be distributed in offline formats, including on devices for areas without internet access. Such copies are licensed, not sold, and remain subject to these Terms and to ABQ’s editorial control. Devices issued under a grant are not disabled remotely.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to interfere with the Services, attempt unauthorized access, use automated tools to harvest content, misrepresent your identity or affiliation, or use the Services to harm, harass, or deceive others.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Company’s total liability for any claim arising from the Services will not exceed the greater of USD 100 or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits; in that case they apply to the extent permitted.
12. Termination
We may suspend or end access to the Services for breach of these Terms or to protect users or the Services. You may stop using the Services at any time. Sections 7, 8, 11, and 13 survive termination.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Tennessee.
14. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will post the revised version with a new effective date and, for material changes, notify account holders. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the revised Terms.
